Magnetic Resonance Therapy transfers energy directly into the cells of the tissue we are treating to stimulate regenerative processes. The therapy is non-invasive, risk free therapy of pain associated with arthritis, osteoporosis, general wear and tear or sports/accident injuries.
How does Cell Regeneration – MBST work?
MBST is made up of a treatment unit that uses three different electro-magnetic fields. The magnetic fields alternate, reacting with the damaged cells in order to stimulate their regeneration. This results in increased function of the joint, often eliminating the need for surgery.
Patients can be treated whilst relaxing, lying down or in a chair, depending on the area being treated by MBST. Most patients can be treated between seven to nine sessions.

We understand that a new treatment can be daunting and an investment into your health and wellbeing. To help you feel at ease we have put in place a simple treatment structure.
- Step 1:- An assessment or discussion is more than likely needed between yourself and our MBST specialist, Suzanne. This will take place at our clinic in Surrey and during the appointment, history of the injury and your best options can be discussed together, as well as any questions that you may have about MBST.
- Step 2:- If it is agreed that MBST is the best option for you, between the clinic and yourself you will need to agree on when you would like to start your treatment over a period of 5-9 days (depending on the type of treatment).
- Step 3:- When it is time for you to start your treatment. You will be introduced to the machine and made sure you are happy and comfortable. You can wear any clothes that you like, as long as you are comfortable. Once the treatment has begun you can read a book, relax, do work, use your phone, your choice is endless! The treatments are for 1 hour each session.
The same step will apply if you are doing the treatment with our mobile machine. When you come to collect the machine from the clinic we will provide you with instructions and also take the time to show you how to use the machine and set it up. - Step 4:- Once your treatment plan is over, we will provide you with all the do’s and don’ts for the next 4-6 weeks, so that the treated area has the best chance of recovery. We will always be at the end of the phone or email if you are unsure.
- Step 5:- 6 weeks post treatment, we will contact you to see how you are.
How will the treatment feel?
The treatment will not cause any pain or discomfort you will be lying down placed onto the MBST machine for 60 minutes whilst the therapy takes place.
MBST Prices:

What next?
Give us a call on 01276 684965 to discuss treatment options and make an appointment for a preliminary consultation. During this session our therapist will assess your needs and personalise the treatment plan to suit you.
After treatment you will also have a follow up consultation to review your progress and advise on rehabilitation techniques to help maximise the benefits of treatment.
What is expected of me after I have had MBST?
Before you go ahead with the treatment, we always advise you to put up to 6 weeks aside after MBST where you are able to reduce the intensity or risk of re-injuring the treated area. For example, we would not recommend that you go on a skiing holiday 1 week after your treatment. Therefore, all we ask of our patients is to be kind to your body after MBST and allow your cells to become as strong as possible, before you challenge them.
We will be with you every step of the way after treatment, to ensure that your rehabilitation is efficient and effective to your lifestyle. We can help advise what you can and can’t do in the gym and how to optimise your wellbeing whilst your body is still using the benefits of the MBST.
What is a top up treatment and why is it important?
A top up treatment of MBST is a shorter course of treatment (5 days) that we offer to patients that may have a long-term degenerative issue or a severe injury.
We strongly believe and encourage top up treatments, to the patients that need it, anytime from 6 months to a year after treatment; but the great thing about a top- up treatment is that you can have it whenever you feel necessary! You know your body best. We have a great success rate with our patients that will regularly call up when they start to feel a twinge in their knee again or an ache in their back, they will simply re book when is convenient for them, rather than having to stick to a strict protocol of 1 year, they may book 2/3 years later.
The reason why a top up treatment may be effective for you is if you imagine that your now re-strengthened ‘knee’ will still be enduring the same amount of strain that it was 5 years ago, and as you are still exercising on it, it may need that extra bit of TLC every now and again so that you can still continue your busy and active life.
Some injuries such as a fracture may not require a top up treatment and therefore, we would not recommend it unless there becomes pain there again. However, we would recommend it for injures such as:
- Degenerative discs
- Arthritis
- Osteoporosis
- Cartlidge, tendon, and ligament degeneration
Unfortunately, these types of injuries will have constant degeneration in your body, if left untreated, which is why an MBST top up is perfect to keep the injured area as healthy and happy as possible!
